Documentary of the French & Indian War

We often forget just how important the French & Indian War (7 Years War) really was in shaping the American colonies. So many of the struggles of the French & Indian War paved the way for the American Revolution. In a way, the French & Indian War laid the groundwork for the future to revolution to come. PBS recently did a documentary on the French & Indian War. Here is a video about it:

I have both seen and purchased the new PBS film on the French and Indian War titles "The War that Made America". One of the most interesting aspects is how the role of the Native Americans in the war was hightlighted. Their role is often downplayed in history texts. I really enjoyed and appreciated the point of view expressed.

I have not had the chance to see this documentary, but everyone has told me that it is a must-see (if not a must-own). I'm going to make a point of purchasing it as soon as possible.

I also thought that the emphasis on the Native Americans was the best part of this film...it certainly opened my eyes.
