John Adams: The HBO Countdown

Here's another trailer for the upcoming HBO miniseries John Adams. I am not a subscriber to HBO, but I think I'm going to have to sign up for this!

Many I am a stick in the mud, but I just can't seem to get excited about this. Sounds like a boring story to be honest. Have any of you read the premise of the script?

I'm just excited that Hollywood is doing something on the American Revolution. The basis of the story is David McCullough's book, and I love McCullough.

I have to confess that I am extremely excited about this program. I too will be ordering HBO for the sole purpose of watching this 7-part series.

I don't know anything about the script, Steve. As Brian mentioned, I know that McCullough's biography on Adams is the premise. I also know that Tom Hanks is producing it. Usually you can count on an entertaining product if Hanks is involved.

Hello everyone! It's your good friend Raven back to say hi! I have to admit that I am looking forward to this shiw, but I am also scared because all americans can do is get their history from movies. They don't know how to read and everyone forgets this countrys history. Wake up America. A television program is not good history.

David McCullough is a good storyteller and Hanks is an excellent producer, this should be good television if not good history. I know that I will have to debunk quite a bit in my classroom soon. National Treasure was a nightmare for some of us. I could not count how many times I had to say that there is not a map on the back of the Declaration of Independence. At leastwith McCullough I will most likely just have to set the records straight on details blurred for dramtic effect.

You've decided to take your pet along on vacation. It will be more fun, and you won't have to worry about leaving a member of your family behind in an unfamiliar kennel.
